Happy to report more early morning walks in splendid Riverside Park!  Riverside was designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, whose genius also gave us Central Park, a few blocks east, and Mount Royal Park, a wee bit north!

Gary's medical team decided to defer further radiation until Gary's blood and immune system bounce back a bit more.  Consequently, Gary had *no* medical appointment, whatsoever, on Tuesday!  Imagine going every single day to hospital for weeks on end, with the intensity of medical appointments increasing as the transplant approaches.  It's a lot.

Therefore, we took full advantage of the "clear" day on Tuesday to two miles in abovementioned Riverside Park, with our customary refreshment stop at Starbucks; and a special visit to Zabar's to buy a prezie for my sister Susie.

On Wednesday, Gary returned to MSK for blood work and a transfusion of platelets.  He remains anemic by any definition and has had nosebleeds off-and-on for a couple of days.  The nosebleeds, while not painful in themselves, are worrisome because they signify that the blood isn't clotting.  If they continue, it's off to the emergency dept.

This morning, Gary will see his regular leukemia doctor of long-standing, Dr. Lamanna at Columbia-Presbyterian.  She knows Gary best.  We look forward to her "big picture" assessment of the game plan.
