Gary's house-bound status didn't deter various friends and family from calling, texting, FaceTiming... and dropping in!
SHELLY and SUSAN of Connecticut visited for an hour on Sunday afternoon! I was out jogging, so they had to figure out the self-timer on their own! Given that they're all computer scientists, it didn't take long. They also left us a basket of delicious, freshly-picked local peaches!
Yet more computer scientists came by on Monday, this time from upstate New York: HARINI & RAVI and their son, ANSHUMAN, and daughter, AKHILA. Aside from being goofy together - which cheers up any one's spirits - we were treated to samples of Anshuman's beautiful Chopin on piano and Akhila's mesmerizing classical Indian dance performance. Way to go, and come back soon!
You have some amazing, fascinating friends! Chopin and Indian dance, wow!
ReplyDeleteHope this next bout of radiation does the trick and brings down that $!@#*!?€%#! swelling, so Gary can feel betterand get outside again!
They are amazing people! It's a little embarrassing for me by comparison, when I take out my simple recorder or disco dance around the living room. As for those nodes... their days are numbered! :-)
DeleteI am impressed that you can disco!!
DeleteHope the radiation went well today, and does so again tomorrow. oxox We need to do the Facetime thing!
Brian, we have to dance a hustle next time we're in town! Love it.
DeleteGary, here's to the next radiation treatments. May they work their magic a.s.a.p. You'll soon be out doing 10 miles or more again, and dancing with the Chopin and the Indian music!
ReplyDeleteI am sending you both great big hugs today. xox
ReplyDeleteI am wishing you both well on this Rosh Hashanah; as I said on facebook, I am happy to practice my own form of Judaism -- served latkes for dinner tonight. Love and hugs and to your health many times over.
