Lots of Photos! Toronto and New Jersey family, plus Vivie, Danny, Ivy and Maureen!

Still more photos in the backlog bin, so here they are!

My brother Steve, and his family, were visiting from Toronto over the Columbus Day (or Canadian Thanksgiving) long weekend.  A BIG THANK YOU to them for making multiple visits to Gary's hospital room during their short and busy stay here in The Big Apple.

For sure, their conversation with Gary was a huge boost to him (and to me too!), at a difficult time.

Our nephew Billy and my bro Steve, from Toronto.  At far right: a Starbucks Tall Decaf.

Us with niece (and Billy's twin sister) Jax who had a fabu day shopping in SoHo, can't you tell!   Come back soon!  Thanks for the pep boost, Jax!

Gary with our niece, Olivia (sister of Billy and Jacqueline, above).  So glad you could spend some very special one-on-one time with Uncle Gary during your visit!

Here are Olivia and her mom Carolyn (my sister-in-law) visiting us from Toronto!

During Steve's family visit to Gary's room, Gary's hem-oncologist, Dr. Nicole Lamanna, came up for t visit.  Here we are: Carolyn, Jax, Dr. Lamanna, Gary, me, and Steve - in Gary's room.

Yet more niece photos!!!   But now of the American variety.
Here is NJ-native Rachel, my sister's daughter, having fun with Gary's newest stuffed addition: "Cow"!   (Thanks to Penny for that!)    Rachel always gives 100% of whatever she does.  Even the machine behind her says so!

Niece Ruthie (of Blood Drop fame), my sister Susie, niece Rachel, and Cow, with Gary!   10/12/13

Friends Danny and Rabbi Vivie drove up from Philadelphia to visit Gary on his 27th day in hospital.  Vivie brought a bouquet of flowers from their own garden - so beautiful!

Here's a closeup of the flowers, and of Vivie!

And a group photo of us!  You can see that Gary is lookin' a little tired at this point, after a month in the hospital!             10/13/13

Friends Maureen & Ivy dropped by in the middle of their workday to say hi!  So great of them to do so.  It turned out to be Gary's last day in hospital, and you see he was a little weary!   Happy to report that Gary has gained back good weight and muscle tone in the four weeks since this photo!         10/14/13

That afternoon, while Gary napped, I noticed this incredible fire-boat drill taking place outside his window, on the Hudson River right underneath the George Washington Bridge!  We loved that view!
